I had my first surprisingly delicious taste of tea at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco when I was about five years old, but didn't start steeping regularly until I was a teenager. By then, my mom had already taught me to knit and a tea-drinking, crafting, DIYing monster had been born.
For me, crafting is just as much about the process as the final product. So why not enjoy every step along the way while sipping a deliciously steamy hot cup of tea? Many of the techniques in this blog I have taught myself or am trying for the first time.
Anyone can be a crafter, you just can't be afraid to make mistakes and get sticky, stained and stressed in the process. Being able to tell people "I made it myself" is well worth it in the end!
